Green anything would be a major relief after the show this Bush Administration is putting on. Makes me embarrassed to be an American. As for Greenpeace being Marxist that's hogwash. They're not even involved in regular politics.
I met their leader ocne. He was a subdued pure eco guy, didn't care about parties or socialism or capitalism.
They are simply for a cleaner earth and as we have learned that doesn't mean anti-business. Yes, you shouldn't cut down our last virgin forests or pollute our last clean waters or hunt down marine mammals but other than that Greenpeace is a bit hippy-like but just focused on the environment. Period. If we didn't have groups like Greenpeace we'd be worse off because no one would be out there exposing the crimes against the environment which take place outside the average person's field of view. You won't see the Sierra Club out in the arctic challenging illegal wahalers. They are real heros some of them, though you may disagree. Greenpeace have never hurt anyone, shot any abortion doctors or blown up any federal buildings. And they challenge communist governments (which are terrible on pollution) just as much as capitalist or socialist. They've exposed many nefarious greedy groups who've tried to sneak around laws and public opinions and spoil, despoil and massacre the only natural environment as have. Even if you're conservative you should have grudging admiration for them though you may think they go too far sometimes. What they did to Bush today is a good thing because maybe just maybe it will wake GW up a little. he could be an endangered species if he doesn't stop his anti-green activities which most people strongly disagree with even if they voted for him.

PS - Conservative should equal conservation. Otherwise it's a contradiction.
