Qualcomm's financials are less than overwhelming.

Over the last five years, Qualcomm's average

Return on Assets: 6.02%
Return on Equity: 9.96%
Dividend Growth Rate: 0%

Last year Qualcomm had a modest $3 billion in annual sales. Not exactly dominating is that figure?

Compare with Nokia:

Five year average

Return on Assets: 18.27%
Return on Equity 35.04%
Dividend Growth Rate: 44.73%

Qualcomm is nothing more nor less than a niche technology provider with O.K. financial performance, which is mediocre in some respects, that selfishly chooses not to share its earnings with its owners. For some mysterious reason, a small cadre of people here on SI have become worked up about Qualcomm with a self-righteous religious ferver. Qualcomm is the gospel and Qualcomm's Chairman and CEO the cult leader. Do you have anymore of Jim Jones's--uh, I mean Irwin Jacob's--Kool Aid?
