I have only visited the Santa Ana/LA area of the state. I would love to see the wine country. This may sound strange to some but I love bats. We have had a colony in our attic vent for the past 6 years. It has been as large as about 75 bats. The babies are born every May/June and are so tiny......my son hs enjoyed watching them grow over the summer months. The only time we lost them for awhile was when a tree fell through our roof and disturbed them. We did not see them for months and then they returned! One thing for sure, since their arrival we have had few insect problems!! They have a healthy appetite!
