You can try a downloaded RAM disk, XMSDSK. It runs as a TSR and not as a device driver. It also removes some additional RAMDISK.SYS limitations, such as size. It may come with help files or suggestions for Win ME.

I've use it without problems on Win98. I placed the command line in AUTOEXEC.BAT to give me a 128 meg drive H:

C:\WINDOWS\XMSDSK 131072 H: /T /C1 /Y

I know nothing of Win ME.

You may need to install the patches Mark loacated in #reply-15661799 to enable DOS.

Cheers, PW.
