The LEAP put on the Dow YDXXJ has a strike of 140 (or 14,000 on the Dow) and sells at less than its intrinsic value becaue it is european style and can't be exercised unitl expiration. In other words, if the Dow just stays where it presently is, in December of 2002 the put would be profitable. If the Dow drops to 8000 any time bteween now an expiration, the profit on the put would probably be about 100%.

But if you think the Dow is headed for 14,000, don't touch it.
