OT: ToTradeWell...
we all agree that the good news message of Jesus found in the Bible is one of the most beautiful & wonderful messages of all.
Well, I won't be as straight forward as I usually am, but let's just say it this way: I do *not* agree w/ you *at all*. The bible is full of war, disease, killing, rape, sexism, homophobia, racism, etc. Isn't it interesting that Christianity's whole message is based on human sacrifice, while condemning pagan religions such as Mithraism, which so happens to have *very* strong similarities w/ Christianity. Need I go into the significance of Dec 25, and how it has been a religious holiday since the stone age... well before Christianity?? Religion is an evolved reaction to that which we have a hard time explaining... whether it be the sun and moon (not Jesus is referenced as "The Light of the World" many, many times, and early paintings depicted a solar halo around his head), or to the ethical philosophies and theories of "ultimate truth" just before & during Christianities' time.
Regardless, we all have our own beliefs which keep us going... so have a nice easter weekend. May the easter bunny be good to you. ;-)
