If Flash memory is gone in 4 years, then I will not care because other semi companies will be replacing them. I *mainly* invest in semi equip/testing stocks, not so much memory plays, though I do believe Flash is a winner longer term. A mere 7 year lifespan w/ mediocre growth (higher than junk bond rates) still justifys a 7 P/E. Will flash memory still be used in consumer devices? I'm quite confident of that, yes. So is MSFT BTW. It's simply the best solution I can imagine. You haven't seen RAM go anywhere have you?? Sure, you'll see changes to that core technology, but I really don't think it's going anywhere soon. No way... and probably my favorite phrase is "Creative Deconstruction"... so it took some convincing.
