Exactly why conservation, clean and renewable energy and efficiency is so important. Trashed to bits by the current administration in the middle of a supposed energy crisis.

Why is it that OPEC cut production as Bush took office? Why was Bush against Clinton releasing 5% of strategic reserves? Why did Bush cut the EPA by 50%? Why hasn't be turned down his air-conditioner and put on a sweater as a good example? if this is a crisis why he is still encouraging waste?

I realize we need new energy sources but at the very lesat an enormous push into alternative cleaner fuels and efficiency ought to be made. SO far not one peep about this from the Bush White House. Why? Because their constituents and campaign supporters are the polluters and producers of un-clean fuels. Obviously.

Just yesterday they cut Clinton's 30% efficiency savings on major appliances to 20%. Who benefits? Not consumers. Not manufacturers. Just energy producers. Bush and his cronies WANT an energy shortage and higher prices so they can exert more power and control, open up more wilderness to exploitation and make MORE MOOLAH. Get it? Very simple.
