Business Week - April 23, 2001 issue- page 120-Robert Barker's column. Bill Miller runs more than $20 billion for Legg Mason. He has a persistently market-beating portfolio. He owns more amzn stock than anyone, except Jeff Bezos, the man of the year. Although a value player, he owned Dell and AOL, on the way up and made a fortune. He thinks amzn may go up 50fold.He sees potential in big ticket items, such as consumer electronics. Barker says this is conventional wisdom-and most value players don't like conventional wisdom. If amzn goes to 500, all drinks r on me!
