Your reply to Paul's post was a diatribe, but didn't endeavor to address the topic:

Where are those mobile Athlons that we first heard about when we were at Computex years ago?
And where is this famous Palomino core that is going to knock the socks off anything Chipzilla pushes out the door?
The mobile Athlons, as we reported in Another Place some months ago, were facing difficult build problems and the ODMs (that is, the Taiwanese manufacturers who make the faceless notebooks which later get the logos) also had some difficulties, particularly with heat dissipation and chassis.
Still, when we asked AMD this question only a month or so ago, we were under the definite impression that pretty soon we'd see some units with mobile Athlons in 'em.
We haven't seen any... Dear readers, have you?
