I have gone back and read this wonderful thread, boy, have I been missing out! I have set up DNS to run in my SC4 based on the formula posted by Mike in his 2/6/97 (#2945) post. However, I am somewhat surprised by the results that I got at first glance. It seems the system would be buying during an uptrend (usually near the peak) and getting out on a downtrend (near the bottom). I used CSCO, AMAT, INTC as my samples, and the results were similar. How can this be a good system? Am I doing something wrong here or perhaps I am missing some steps in between, e.g., I didn't scan the database for stocks.
