OK, John, you want to talk about fundamentals, so answer me this root questions: do you believe the Internet will continue to grow at fantastic rates? If no, then we are at fundamental odds. It's like religion, some people believe and some don't. I believe Internet traffic will continue to explode because there is a direct correlation with the rate of information growth, which is exponential. This growth also directly benefits networking companies, the strongest of which is Cisco.

Second question: can you point to a company with stronger financials than Cisco, which also has the depth and breadth of product offerings? Not Nortel or Lucent. Maybe Ericcson, but their financials suck. Alcatel? No, their financials suck. Any of the small ones? Nope. Juniper is a one trick pony and so are the other youngsters. Cisco will benefit from this market the most in an upturn.

So the bottom line is do you believe in the networking industry period. Yes? Then you will profit. No? Then you will miss great investing opportunities from buying Cisco. Mind you, I still think Cisco will go lower than it's at today until they come clean with the writeoffs I've talked about multiple times. But after that, we'll have smooth sailing.
