Are you saying the dismantling of environmental laws and the gouging of consumers on energy prices has nothing to do with the Bush Presidency? Or thatg it is a good thing that benefits this country? If so, you'd better stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. You've been snookered by your own peoples' propaganda and blinded by partisanship. It's hard to respect anyone so partisan they can't even acknowledge their own side's most egregious excesses. That's when partisanship becomes a true problem in our country. When Leiberman got up and scolded Clinton that was a good thing. Now some on your side should get up and scold Bush for letting the pigs back at the troughs. because the damage done here will be a lot more serious than CLinton's BJ (which we paid 100 million to find out about). Otherwise this could cost us all a lot more than the S+L debacle (600 billion). According to the BP shareholders article, the Bush Administration WANTS high energy prices to help them push into Alaska and all the oil companies are going to contribute to shortages this summer to scare the US voters into backing off their concern for the environment. Only then might they get theextra votes in the Senate to go in and spoil ANWAR. Meanwhile oil companies with Bush's backing are scrapping alternative fuel and eco-friendly programs and not even trying to appear concerned. Why even try when they have two oilmen in the White House whose only concern is more drilling at higher prices and profits? Has one word been uttered by the Bush team about trying to bring down prices? Nope. And who's money is that? Yours and mine people. add it all up and we could be talking hundreds of billions not to mention more pollution and wilderness exploitation. And they will actually be happy about that.
