Oh my God. This looks like it. I just clicked Properties in my Norton System Works and see "Created Jan 20, 2001." Sounds like it's probably NSW 2000.

"This behavior can occur if you have the Speed Disk utility from Norton System Works 2000 installed on your system."

Do you think I could just delete the speed disk part?

I will look at this tomorrow. I'm tired and have to make dinner before the Sopranos goes on....
