I consider that obervation or opinion to be stupid. I believe we all know what happened in terms of the colision and most of us believed this from the start and I have no doubt that the President Knew exactly what happened within hours. Remeber we are dealing with the Chinese and not the democrat Party (I think)

Knowing what you know now do you have a rational reason for the Chinese to act the way they did. I don't Do you think you know who is in charge in China? I don't. I also don't think that the Chinese know how to cope with events outside of the ordinary and the place is a red tape nignt mare even for the Chinese who are in charge.

SO to me monday morning quarterbacking is the ninnyhammer thing to do.

I would have expected the Chinese to detain for questioning our folks for at least a few to 5 days to question as a normal part of an investigation to find out what happened. So if I were in charge I would say nothing about regret or anything else for the first several days. Then if It became obvious that I was dealing with vacant liberal minded whiners I'd figure what I had to say within limits to get our absent folks out of harms way so a free and honest discourse would occur and if the vacant liberal minds were going to strain at the nats of hanging chad and refuse to acknowledge the rights of absentee military folks, well the sooner we get the absentee folks safe then the court of world justice and opinion can hear the supreme debate and Show President BUSH won and all the over and over recounting of lies by the Chinese will just over time diminish the Chinese credibility and make them look ever more like SORE Losermen.

Any way that how I see it.
