Frankly, I don't know. I have a tendency to distrust the "Internet" press. They have a contrarian predisposition, not a bad thing, but still you have to be suspicious.
On the other hand, it's tempting to give Intel the benefit of the doubt. They did create the product category, and you could make the case that they know more about microprocessors than the most informed critics, including Mr. "McCommatose". Intel has always been secretive on where they are going, it could be, that if you don't understand the target product benefit, it's very difficult to evaluate the current product.
I suppose that if I had to make a judgement based on a still photograph of today's situation, I would be skeptical of Intel. But my guesses are based on where the company will be in six months or a year or two years, when (hopefully) the marketplace has recovered.
To be very honest, I don't think there is a reviewer or a person on the AMD or Intel thread that has a clue how the marketplace will play out in the future.
