Where do all these lies come from? From Christian Aid?

Upstream, April 11
Swedes fire Lundin broadsides

The Swedish government has promised to launch an inquiry into the activities of Lundin Oil in Sudan, much along the lines of a recent Canadian government investigation into Talisman Energy's operations in the strife-torn southern part of Africa's largest country.

"Lundin Oil activities (are) negative for Sweden," said the country's foreign minister Anna Lindh, who added: "We expect Swedish companies to respect an ethical code in line with human rights and the environment in (countries) which they operate."

According to Lindh, the Stockholm government would like to follow the example of Canada where public outcry led to the investigation of Talisman.

Swedish press reports say Lindh's comments come in the wake of public outcry late last month against Carl Bildt, the Swedish politician who sits on the board of Lundin Oil as well as serving as a UN special envoy for the Balkan region.

Human rights groups are calling for Bildt to resign from either job, as they see his wearing of two hats as a conflict of interest on moral grounds. Pressure may also come for Bildt to resign as a member of the Swedish parliament.

"Bildt is paid by the UN to bring peace yet his company profits from war," said Mark Curtis of Britain's Christian Aid.
...

My comment:
It's just incredible, don't journalists check their stories at all nowadays?
The Swedish government has NOT promised to launch any inquiry.
The Swedish foreign minister has NOT been quoted correctly,
she did NOT say "Lundin Oil activities (are) negative for Sweden".

My guess is that Christian Aid's Mark Curtis is behind this media campaign. I've already lost count of
all the lies he has told gullible journalists recently (Curtis visited Sweden 2 weeks ago).
