Bombardier Signs Contract With Air Wisconsin for up to 150 CRJ200 Regional Jets
APRIL 16, 2001 - 09:21 EDT

TORONTO, ONTARIO--Bombardier Aerospace today announced it has
finalized a contract with Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation for
the sale of up to 150 CRJ200* aircraft including 75 orders (51
firm orders and 24 conditional orders) plus 75 options.

Value of the 75 firm and conditional orders is estimated at
approximately U.S.$1.68 billion (Cdn.$2.35 billion).

"We are extremely pleased to be Air Wisconsin's partner," said
Steven Ridolfi, president of Bombardier Aerospace, Regional
Aircraft. "Air Wisconsin has been a terrific success story and
their potential is clearly demonstrated by the size of this order.
We are very gratified that every United Express operator has
selected the CRJ as their regional airliner of choice."

"We intend to deploy our CRJ fleet out of our Chicago and Denver
hubs," said Air Wisconsin chairman, president and chief executive
officer Geoff Crowley. "The new CRJ fleet will provide a
benchmark standard in our operations on behalf of United Express
throughout our route network," he said.

"This order brings our total backlog of orders for the CRJ* family
to 551 aircraft," said Michael Graff, president and chief
operating officer, Bombardier Aerospace. "The CRJ has
revolutionized the airline industry and has clearly demonstrated
its economic worth in operational service," he added.

Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, Air Wisconsin currently operates
nine CRJ200 aircraft. Deliveries for the new tranche of aircraft
will begin in September 2001.

Under terms of the contract, Air Wisconsin will have the
flexibility to operate a mix of 40-, 44-, and 50-passenger CRJ200
models in its fleet to tailor seating capacity to specific route
requirements.
