<<E, in Win98 start>programs>accessories>system tools>scheduled tasks>>

Thank you. I went there. Maybe I found something interesting, i'm not sure.

When I went to scheduled tasks, the tasks listed were scheduled for reasonable intervals, it seemed to me. I mean infrequently enough or at times that couldn't explain blocking defragging.

But the Semantec NetDetect said "Every 5 minutes from 11:09am for 24 hours every day starting at 2/21/?"

Under "Settings" the only thing checked is to stop the task if it runs for 72 hours.

I do see that all of the tasks give you the option to disable. But it seems as though EndItAll would have shut all this down, since no programs show as open but Explorer, Systray and EndItAll, but maybe...?

Does anyone have any diagnostic thoughts about this?
