He said that many times he has heard from the Koreans and Japanese that it is easier to talk to Nokia than it is talking with the QCOM guys. QCOM guys come across very hard headed and very firm. The analogy he gave me later was comparing QCOM to MSFT.

A friend of a friend had a chance to talk to a sales rep who works for Sanmina. According to the rep, sales to QCOM have slowed down recently. I asked for details but did not get anywhere. I am not sure what QCOM manufactures but they were talking about integrated circuit boards. The rep was also very impressed with QCOM as a long term investment.
