Not true. We can establish agreements about what is to be tolerated and what is forbidden and the things in between. We can also declare that these things don't represent absolutes in what can be or will be in the course of our development. We can define standards and measure the adherence to those standards. We can declare when a standard is met, exceeded, violated, etc. based on our observations. We can declare as a type of truth that our observations provide evidence as to the measure of adherence to standards. This we must do or we have no decent means of dealing with one another as a society.
