I listened to the call and while this quarter is 'off the charts' bad, at least the new revenue base has now been set. First Boston was modeling -23.6% and they preannounced -30%. They were modeling +1.7% for next quarter and Chambers said 'flat to down'... Nevertheless, everyone knew CSCO had/has no visibility so at least now the new revenue base has been set and analysts can start crunching numbers off of it. The future of telecom is certainly at a crossroads as but because CSCO has now taken the sequential hit, the new (dramatically lower) revenue base at least represents real demand from real customers and not router orders from alternativeserviceprovider#59.com...
