And of course many Gods speak to many people at the same time. Mother Theresa is a Catholic, listening to a Catholic God. There are people in this country who don't even consider Catholics to be Christians, who speak to their God. Followers of Islam speak to their God. Devout Jews are in touch with their God. I suppose they could all be in touch with the same thing, and simply be calling it different things. Or they could be experiencing an inner voice and calling it God. Craziness is usually defined functionally as deviating from the norms- so if lots of people "talk" to God it wouldn't be crazy. In fact if almost everyone talked to God the crazy ones would be the ones not talking, or not pretending to talk.
