Don't take this too harshly, but one of the things that many here find offensive are folks who do not take the time to research how the various markets work. Futures trades for a period after the equity markets ring the bell before they fix the "closing" value. So, the thing to look at is where the futures closed at the end of equity trading (another measure is "fair value").

So, at the end of today the NDX futures big contract, closed at 1662 and the spoos closed at 1186.50.

Not bothering to study the most basic mechanics of the markets is clownish.
