Well,Mike since you gave a well thought out response to a view point that is contrary to your own [unlike the boot licker wess] I will attempt to show you the same courtesy. My strategy has been to look for the groups that are thriving in the current market environment. Tech's are not among them as far as I am concerned.. I had been long all of last year and while I did of course take some lumps [IMG,MSN were the nastiest ] I still had a $88,000 + tax bill to pay today. Late last December I began picking up stocks in the medical out patient health care group. Started with USPH , moved on to DYII and early last week picked up OPTN.....Yes I've had some losers [COBR the worst among them] But this year so far I'm way inna black. Why this medical group? It is the strongest group out there according to IBD........I believe that any group that has been able to show strong positive earnings visibility has potential. If this potential demonstrates itself I'm looking for strong stocks there. Friday and today I have been nibbling in some pollution control services.. Just because of the tech disaster and an economic slow down the stock market ain't gonna go away....There's still lotsa money on the sidelines lookin for a home. Thus my strategy hasn't changed .......Look for strong stocks in strong groups......And be flexible when things don't go my way ....Only the stocks and the groups have changed. As you can see I don't give a damn about anyone's opinion but my own. Not your's, CNBC's or Barron's....And my ass is quite safe and secure thankue
