Phil, you said "I know of no one having the ZIP/Jazz/Ditto drives. How many people do you personally know that ACTUALLY bought, use, and like an IOMG drive."

That's interesting. I have a Zip drive myself (SCSI), and plan to get a Jaz drive soon. I personally know at least two dozen people who have Zip and/or Jaz drives. These people are uniformly pleased with their Iomega products. In fact, the main reason I bought the Zip was because a friend of mine had bought it. He showed it to me and told me how much he loved it.

Then I saw the Jaz drive at PC Expo last June, and I wanted to buy not only one of those, but the stock, too.

Furthermore, you mentioned salespeople at Frye's and UC Computer saying that people who bought Iomega drives were not satisfied with their performance. I haven't been to Frye's in some time, since I don't get out to California often. However, salespeople at computer stores around here (New York City) seem to all have good things to say.

Every techie I know wants a Jaz drive. I am a network systems consultant, and I know a lot of techies. I have done a lot of consulting in the publishing industry, and the people I have met at various magazines are also high on Jaz.

As far as the P/E ratio goes, you have to consider that P/E ratios are based on the trailing twelve months earnings. So today's P/E ration still includes the second quarter of last year, which was before the Zip got off the ground, and IO was still spending a lot on development of the Jaz.

Let's see how that P/E ratio looks at the end of the third quarter this year.
