NIC: I was just trying to point out that FC is not 100% "reliable" for video, or any other type of traffic. The opinion of the original poster, and perhaps some people on the thread was that FC was this wonderful next-generation technology which was faster, and more reliable than TCP/IP, SCSI, or iSCSI. That is not true, as you have said. Every technology for datacomm has strengths and weaknesses, and there are right ways and wrong ways to use and implement them. A seasoned sysadmin who is making a purchase decision is going to be aware of that, but by reading some comments in this board, I get the feeling that some INVESTORS don't see that.
