If we sell off at the end of today, I would say that the rally failed... then tomorrow AM I would look for furthe weakness...

I have never followed technical analysis and that is why I don't catch onto moves that a technician would predict.

I tend to take the view that something is happening right now and may not agree with interpretation that you came up with...ie. rally failing.
That is the belief that mutual fund hold too much cash that they did not need for redemptions. They were conservative in their estimates. IMHO, something like that may be a bit of a shock to the TA system.
Of course, I am saying that without fully understanding TA.

BTW--you mentioned Luc. I had seen this guy bearish on Dell for years and probably lost a lot of money back then. Now he has gotten the declines right. Now the question mark is will he still continue to be right after all those gains in the Nasdaq have disappeared. We shall see.
I wonder if trading success is cyclical just like the tech sector. <g>
