Howdy all, I've been lurking here for several months and just recently registered. Thanks to everyone who provides up-to-date info and reasoned analysis. This is my best source for the latest IOMG developments -- I usually know about them before my broker does. I've been long on IOMG for about 10 years now, buying in shortly after the company went public. For a large part of that time I held onto my stock only because it was too cheap to sell. When it started its climb, I had access to information online that convinced me how big zip could be, so I held onto my stock. I'm glad I did. Just a couple of comments: - If you have access to the Usenet news groups, you might want to check out the ones that discuss computer storage devices, especially comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware.storage and comp.sys.mac.hardware.storage. Here you'll find a lot of technical discussions that you may not be too interested in, but you'll also get a feel for the relative interest in zip/jaz/ditto versus competing products, satisfacation (or the lack thereof) with Iomega's technical support, etc. Be aware that people are more likely to post articles to complain or ask for help than they are to praise a product they're happy with. - I was in a local Egghead recently and saw a large area devoted to removable storage. There were lots of zip, jaz and ditto boxes and a couple of EZ-135s. I asked the young salesman how they were selling. He said the zips moved very well. He pointed out that the EZ-135 was faster, but people wanted the zip because "the name Iomega is synonymous with removable storage." I'm sure he had no idea how happy I was to hear him say that. Looks like I need to investigate how to edit these messages. Sorry.
