Ain't that the truth. My concerns about MSFT's future have been greatly lifted over the past few months. It's clear to me that they are in an outstanding position to weather an economic downturn relative to many other big name companies.

Right now, MSFT's stock price is really just going to follow the market (it's already greatly outperformed the Nasdaq to this point). If the Nasdaq works it's way higher, MSFT should do very well. Unfortunately, I'm not convinced the economy and the market are out of the woods yet. Rough waters are still ahead, IMO.

But, with that said, MSFT is the first stock I'd want to own, in this environment. That rule has already proven to be quite rewarding compared to what has happened to almost every other stock in the technology sector.
