So true JLA, as a matter of fact just the opposite is true. Bush cares so much about the environment he doesn't want to risk oil tankers crossing our waters and potentially spilling their cargo. Much safer to build a pipeline and ship oil from Alaska.

Opening the estimated 12 billion gallon oil reserve in Alaska not only benefits the environment, it benefits the American people with hundreds of thousands of new jobs, it also benefits our national security, as well as our national debt.

Every day we spend nearly 150 million dollars on imported Crude oil. Our dependence has grown to nearly 60% of needed supply. Much of this oil is brought in from countries which don't practice Democracy, liberty or freedom.

Environmental wacko's who refuse to open the Alaskan oil reserves are doing nothing but pouring billions of dollars into the back pocket of Sheiks. They don't care about the little guy who has to pay higher and higher gas prices at the pump when OPEC decides to reduce supply. They only care about a bunch of super rich dictators in the Arabian Penninsula, who might need their 50th, or 51st new limo in order to drive around and watch the peons live in sand huts, or buy another slave girl to be brought over from the Philippinnes or Thailand.

That one single oil field in ANWAR could reduce our dependency from 60% currently, to 50%, if we had the will to finally throw these eco-terrorists off the train, and get down to caring about our nations ecology and energy needs.

But what's really pathetic is after 8 years of complete neglect by Clinton regarding our energy strategies. Democrats have the gall to criticize a new President (and blame him), when he's been in office less than 4 months.

Where was Clinton's solar energy strategy??

Where was Clinton's nuclear energy strategy??

Where was Clinton's geothermal energy strategy??

Where was Clinton's oil strategy??

Where was Clinton's windmill strategy??

I'll tell you where. Sitting in some empty computer terminal because he was too busy gallivanting around the world at taxpayer expense chasing 19 year old skirts, instead of getting down to the serious business of leadership.
