Sprint and 360Netowork capex for 2001
Sprintl ast year capex was around 5 billion and 2001 was planned at 6.2 B, b/c of slow spending last year ( WCOM)
Even if they reduce capex to 5.5B, it means that after spending only 364 million in Q1 they will spend from now on average
1.7B per quarter.Revenue of telecom vendors may go up soon.
Also 360 Network capex in q1 was only 400 million out of
3.5 billion for 2001.
Accoring to CEO most of 3.5B will occur in 2-nd half of 2001 to light up the optical networks.
