A belief in everlasting life is helpful for you and I respect your need. But tell me if there was no life after death would you still love God? If your answer is yes you have a true faith, if the answer is no you have a conditional faith that is not based on love or faith but fear. That fear will be a weapon to be used against you by any dime store preacher you run across during your one existence. This ego based fear has you by the short hairs of your psyche and if you don't let it go will result in complete moral decay. But if you do confront it and let it go you might find you love life and those around you more than you ever have.
