Bad news peak signaling bottom was phony LU bankruptcy rumor. The most widely held stock in the world going bankrupt (not). What could be worse "news" than that? Of course it was a scam perpetrated by over-zealous (and dishonest) shorts but it made the news nonetheless, which is why Lu is still at 7 instead of 10-11. And why other similar stocks were taken down to new lows as well.
