ahhh yes the dot.com dreams of eras gone by..... just buy the dips...

Hey Vic. Yes, Cisco has a tough road ahead - no doubt about that. Dip buying at this point of the market cycle is not the only strategy available, but if an investor has a several year time horizon and plenty of patience - who knows? The time will come for bull market strategies in the overall markets as well at some point in the future.

Check in on some of these technology companies in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, etc.... and see if any current "dip buying" in a balanced portfolio worked out or not. Investors were warming up to Cisco in the teens, Intel in the low $20's, Dell in the teens, Microsoft in the $40's and $50's, Juniper in the high $20's, BEA Systems in the low $20's, Siebel in the $20's, Ciena in the $30's, Checkpoint in the $40's, Emulex and Brocade in the teens and many other interesting companies.

Then again, perhaps you much prefer to continue posting 28 messages per day on the Cisco board to chew your own fat for the next few years. That's a healthy 10,220 posts per year that Cisco message board readers can look forward to reading from you alone - provided you can keep it up...
