"But as long as Intel is at $29 with lower earnings, higher PE, lower growth, AMD has a room to go up to reduce the disparity. Suppose Intel crashed to $10. What do you think would happen to AMD short term?"

Having slept on it, the only explanation I can come up with for INTC's surprising jump in the AH, is that they are in reaction to the spate of generally positive earnings released yesterday by more than a couple big blues...that is INTC is caught up in the coattails of some of the large caps that are not showing 23% revenue declines sequentially...

Further, I honestly hope INTC breaks $30 today because that would set the stage for a potentially significant uptick in AMD tomorrow, if AMD, a company 1/25th the size of INTC can come in with $1.1 billion in revenues, or 1/6th the revenues of INTC and at $0.33 eps or better or 5 times the "all-in" eps of $0.07 that INTC managed to eke out!!!
