Mike Magee is great, but I think it's a little bit of a stretch to call the Inquirer more general interest than the Register. If you're interested, Mike Magee posts occasionally under his own name here. He was the original founder of the Register, but was kicked out there recently, allegedly over something he posted on SI, no less. See Message 15555885 and Message 15559034 . I try to avoid the Register since then; when Magee was out on sabatical last fall it went downhill precipitously, and now that Mike's gone for good, I figure it'll never be the same.
