Gottfried,
Whats even more amazing is that all those "money center" analysts said no intermeeting cut and maybe only 1/4% in May. Now we get 1/2 and perhaps another 1/2 in may. Folks on this thread know more than most analysts. Even on the cisco thread intelligent posters have returned. What do you think Edelstone and Niles are eating for lunch today--it's CROW. Also AG looks a bit more nimble on his feet. And lets not forget my new best friend JJ of SSB. mike

PS My sources tell me layoffs are occurring in this go-round and that lower employment numbers and dramatically higher unemployment rate(5%) is coming. That always happens at the end of a recession but AG has acted preemptively to prevent a meltdown in consumer sentiment and Nasdaq when these numbers appear. For folks to be optimistic in the face of job insecurity it was incumbant on the fed to show that recovery like christmas is just around the corner and that they(fed) have a handle on the situation. Watch the national news tonight as Alan is once again portrayed as the saviour. And thank John Chambers for delivering the negative numbers + layoffs etc that he has been promising in his worlwide reality tour just completed. AG finally listened and this really is a big deal.
