What implications do
you think this has for other things?

Frankly, I don't think it has many, if any. Maybe since Karen hadn't posted any of the posts you were referring to she didn't feel any need to take it personally but was able to be totally objective, whereas those who had posted and read the term "insult" and "offense" felt it applied to them and therefore automatically felt more threatened. It's always easier to be objective about things that don't directly affect you. That's why we demand neutral judges to oversee legal cases.

I mean, look at how you took my "woman" comment. Instant fury. Would a man have been as offended by it and unable to recognize it as a joke? Probably not.

I see God has failed to communicate with me.

Maybe you aren't listening? Some people would say that God gave you the Bible, that he communicated just fine and you chose not to listen. Not my position, but not an uncommon one, either.

Edit: and, of course, he keeps sending JWs and others to your door and you keep refusing to offer then a plate of cookies and an hour of your time.

Or maybe God doesn't care to communicate with you?

Shouldn't God realize that he is not communicating with me and try harder?

I don't pretend to know the mind of God, and I don't have any qualifications for judging what God should and shouldn't do. But it's interesting that you think it's appropriate to ask me how God should act. It implies that you accept that there is, indeed, a God whose behavior I should somehow be able to explain. At least for the sake of argument, and that's a start.

they are saying things
about their Gods that are in diametrical opposition.

Happens all the time. Even trained and purportedly objective scientists often have diametrically opposed views of certain phenomena. Look at global warming; some scientists say it's happening, some say no. Some say it will be a disaster, some say it will be a boon. Some say we're causing it, some say the climate changes all the time and why should we expect it to remain static. Heck, if experts with years of study behind them and all sorts of tools, experiments, computer models, etc. at their disposal can't even agree on global warming, why would you expect people to agree about God?

Shouldn't God do something about my failure to hear him her or it?

More to the point, why should God?
