more 1997-98 OSX Cycle - Deja Vu all over again... Anyone else notice some very errie negative similarities here ? 1. The API storage numbers are just about right where - they triggered the collapse of the 1997-98 cycle ? 2. That we are at OSX 120ish "again" - right where we were in 1998 when those API's reversed into the build mode/negative trend and the cycle collapsed ? 3. That is was a slowing of demand & not over-production that reversed the supply/demand balance & that once again - Asia; but this time not just Asia; as the USA as well is in this "contagian"... 4. That the Bulls are in complete denial & are mesmerized on the present fundamentals of eps & cfps & not the early indicators appearing on the horizon - like these API levels and the still slowing economic conditions ? ... food for thought peeps... food for thought ~ How's the ole saying go ? History.... learn from it; or be destined to repeat it. PS S: I've got a little prediction here: 1. that someday it will be discovered that JL Holloway had prudently hedged his insider holdings in FGI/FGH - long, long ago. 2. that he'll be part of a group buying "choice" assets out of bankruptcy. ... just a prediction as the Fox was strangely absent from minding the hen house of late...and I don't think the FOX is going to miss "buying em back cheaper"... just a prediction...
