Your presumptions define a particular problem. The problem is that the god you reference is very needy, incompetent, and ultimately a failure. I am not surprised, but by the usual definition God is perfect, all powerful and all knowing. It would not be possible for such a God to not know your needs or to provide imperfectly for them. To use the word "should" implies that God has the need to be fulfilled by you. Again, an all powerful and all knowing God could not possibly need anything from creation. That is illogical.

For example, when you say "Shouldn't God do something about my failure..." you presume that God NEEDS you to be successful.

I am not trying to convince you of the existence or nonexistence of God. I thought, however, that I should point out the flaw in your critique. Unless you actually know people who worship such a blundering deity; in which case, I join you in your wonderment.
