You might want to be a little late instead of early in
spite of the ridiculous valuations. My spin on this is
that there will be enough of a rally to convince almost
everyone that the bear is done and we will rally to new
highs eventually. That is the only way to suck all the
cash out of investors.

I agree with you in general, but I suspect the timing will
be very tricky and this rally will go farther than you and
most think. The reason I say this is that I still believe
that the techies haven't been milked dry yet. Before this
is over they will be bankrupt. But for now many have been
waiting for the bottom, hoping to get back what they lost
in the last year. Therefore I think this rally will be a
big rally, will last for months, and is a lethal trap.

The reason I mentioned energy is because I believe that the
lack of abundant sources (from disintegration of the energy
infrastructure) will be the achilles heel of the US economy
going forward. We have been spoiled for a long time, have
paid no attention to sane policies (as a group), and at some
point the piper has to be paid. The time is coming.
