I never said those guys from Georgia were stupid, just liked fried fish back bones. They weren't bad. Never had heard of it before.

We did feed the camp that night. The Chinese had boiled fish heads, the rest got fried fish. The grease fire made us a little previous on getting the fish ready so the potato salad was slow. Made it a multi course dinner.

One year my dad and I went up for a week. On the 14th day we got a call about if we were ever coming home. We found a bay where a wind change had changed the temperature and killed some bait fish. At 6pm the winds would change and the dead bait would float out. Forget the rest of the day. The general fishing was poor and no one was catching even dinner. We'd leave at 5:30 and come back after dark with 7-8 limits of bass and walleyes. We always tied them to a buoy for the owner of the camp to get. That way he fed the camp and gave them some fish to take home.

Last year I went up there I went with my wife. A guy from Chicago was there and he and the owner were going to Souix Narrows for lakers. I asked if I could follow him and got the haha about they didn't have time to wait for amateurs. They got one laker that was legally too small to keep. Sue and I went elsewhere and got 6 from 12 pounds to 20 pounds. Man was he pissed. Just shows don't brag in front of everybody unless you can do.
