Great News: Now both Ericsson and Sony will be screwed up! In one news article I found the following: "According to the NHK report, Sony and Ericsson (ERICY) will also jointly conduct research and development of a next-generation high-speed cellular phone. The network quoted company sources it did not identify." Why dont they just use the GSM/CDMA chip made by Qualcomm and be done with it? Why spend all this money on developing a 3G system when you can "buy" the best (and the most economical) for a reasonable price today? These stubborn BIG companies do the nuttiest things!
