My Dell monitor clicked when changing modes. We may be on to something.
Right click the icon, select Properties, Program tab.
In the Batch file box, insert MODE CO80 (that is Capital letter "C", capital letter "Oh", number eight, number Zero.
This is the DOS command to change display mode. CO80 means COlour, 80 lines, and is the equivalent to video mode three, which is colour text. I realize the box says it's for .BAT files, but DOS commands work here just fine.
You can also use MODE MONO if you don't have colour, or MODE CO40 if you're feeling goofy.
If this works, the next step is to explore Step by Step confirmation to isolate the problem.
Cheers, PW.
P.S. The AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS bat files in the root of C: drive carry forward into all DOS windows and DOS mode. |
