I didn't realize that was what you were getting at. My point was that since gasoline is around C-8 and fuel oil is a lot heavier, you can make both at the same time, or you can crack the heavy ends to make gasoline and other light ends, depending on what is needed. Very little is wasted.

I used to be a process operator at Exxon Baton Rouge, on Powerformer #1 and #2 - that took naptha and made it into gasoline and jet fuel using heat, pressure, and a platinum catalyst. Much better place to work than the coker.-g-
