Thanks Allen for your analysis.

If I understand, you are saying that semiconductor companies are investing more in software themselves and logically could make a bid to purchase WRS altogether. Previous discussions on this thread of WRS being bought out concluded that because of a major bidding war that would result, no company could afford to buy WRS. WRS has been able to grow independently into an important new player by default more than by oversight.

Have your thoughts on the existing detent between potential buyers changed since then?

PS.
This situation reminds me a little about the position Switzerland has in Europe. During the past political wars and upheavals, all the powers accepted little Switzerland's right to independence, partly because an independent place to do banking deals worked for everyone and partly because Switzerland was fiercely defended by its own militia. Not to say that the little mountain country couldn't have fallen to an attack or siege, but it never was tested. There were also capitulationist forces all the way up to the General's office. But, the tide turned against Germans after their defeats in Russia and the Switzerland's independence was never really threatened. If Germany had won in Europe, I guess that Switzerland would have been forced to join the Reich. Lucky me, because my grandfather and uncles would have certainly been the first to fall.
