Skeeter, da Grim wants to know are you still doing therapy sessions for bears? -g- ho ho ho I know some homes typical Cape Cod style 1/4 ac. lots or less could be had in in Fairfield County for $10 -12,000 in the late 40s early 50s now sell for $250- 325,000 depending on the town - some towns are better some worse. Back then minimum wage was about $1.15 now the effective min wage is $8.00 - anybody who would work for less probably isn't worth hiring -g- Roughly speaking it takes 4 times as many man hours to buy a house in these towns as it did 50 years ago. if you take into account the greater tax burden - property and federal I'm sure it is much worse. My late grandmother bought a house for $ 800 in the late 20s early 30s - today the house is worth at least $200,000 . Mike
