John, that was LAST week...it was the largest bear percentage in a while, but it still didn't surpass the bull percentage (that happened thrice in '98 and for 9 successive weeks in '94). this week the bull percentage jumped a full 10% (haven't seen the entire set of numbers yet, so i don't know what this week's bear percentage was). exuberance is coming back real fast now...yesterday's equity p/c ratio was the lowest since 31 Aug. and today's was even lower as far as i can ascertain...call volume yesterday was at a record high. so it's not as if there were a lot of bears left...even Luc has QQQ calls now...-g-
