Your comments remind me of the Groton, CT area, where Electric Boat used to be a huge employer. It was always boom and bust cycles, almost going by when they got another sub contract then finished it. Big waves of hiring and then waves of layoffs. And of course the ripple effect throughout the area.



We are similar here. Not one firm but we are based on heavy industry.
